Mr. Thai is the Vice President for Technology with SAIC, a $11B Fortune 500 company, with 20+ years of experience with government and private sectors in scientific, engineering, and technology applications.  Currently, he leads the Security, Network and Special Systems contract for the San Diego International Airport “Green Build” $1B program.  Directs a team of 6 Program Managers, 51 technical members, and 5 major subcontractors to Design-Build ACS/CCTV/Breach Management/PDIS security systems, LAN/WAN/phone/radio networks, and Building Management System.  He served 14 years as a civil servant with SPAWAR HQ and NAVSEA, and still holds an active Top Secret clearance.


Transformational Leader: Mr. Thai came to America as a refugee in his early 20s, empty-handed with no English or education.  He tried to escape Vietnam 15 times before he finally made it to Thailand, and this experience had shaped his determined character and leadership potential.  Today he is living the American Dream.


Technical Competence: Domain expertise in physical security for airports, seaports, and critical infrastructures, satellite communications, intelligence surveillance reconnaissance, and mine counter-measure.


Business Intelligence: Functional expertise in Design-Build firm-fixed price contracts.  He is an Award-Winning program manager and managed all Tsunami Warning systems with clients in Australia, China, Chile, India, Japan, Russia, Thailand, and Vietnam. 


Education: Mr. Thai graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a bachelor degree in electrical engineering.  He earned his Master’s degrees in electrical engineering and MBA from the California State University.  He also graduated from the Federal Executive Institute and Defense Systems Management College.


Effective Communicator: In August 2010, Jimmy was placed among the top 18 speakers of Toastmasters International’s World Championship of Public Speaking – an annual competition with over 25,000 contestants from 106 countries.  He’s earned the Distinguished Toastmaster distinction and Advanced Leader credential.


He resides in San Diego, California with his wife – Lily and two daughters, Faith and Ashley.  He held a black belt in Taekwondo and is a certified Kick Boxing instructor at the Rancho YMCA
